If you have enough of an interest in baseball to have read this far, you probably have a favorite external source for baseball statistics, and you most likely know that Wilver Stargell spent his entire career with the Pirates, so you can verify that all of the players in the image played for the Pirates in 1977. Between the years of 19, including the reprinted (‘R’) seasons, the 12 was on 52 only in 1977. Looking at the table in the PDF, the first column is the playing season, and the second column is the location of the red 12. If we assume that most playing careers are limited to the ages from 20 to 40, this must be part of a team from anywhere between 19. We see that these players were all born between 19. The other useful piece of information is date of birth. In this case, we see the red 12 next to the black 52 on every card. For any given season set of cards, the red result 12 appears in a constant position.
